"Every step you take..."
5 stars

Newman and Redford are money.

How can you not enjoy this pair? I'll admit, growing up with this film being on TV at least 3 times a year, I avoided watching it because it seemed boring. Ah, the folly of youth.
This film raises the standard of scriptwriting. To look at the plot and all of it's complexities is a bit challenging, but then to add on the fact that it's a period piece and you are dealing with the criminal underclass, it's a bit dizzying to believe that the filmmakers pulled it all off.
I can not tell you specifically what i liked about this film because it would give away the plot, but I can say there are subtle nuances to the script, the ACTING, and the overall feel of the film (direction) that will make me watch this 2 hour movie over and over again.

Definitely worth viewing, if not buying.
