"Bursting with country fresh flavor. A refreshing change."

Sometimes you see a moive starring nobody important, made by nobody important, without a budget, without a clue, without much of a story or much of a point. And somehow it works.

Hence American Beer, a movie you'd have a hard time finding no matter how much of a film buff you might be, is well worth a look.

The story? Well it's a little too weird to go into.
The acting? Nothing extraordinary.

It's just funny, low brow, low budget, a couple of guys with a camera and plenty of friends willing to help out over the course of a few weekends.

I caught it on Canadian some cable channel recently and while it looked like dreck, it kept me chortling throughout.

Generation X enough to be amusing an poignant without being a stereotyped "slacker" film, it'll go down well for anyone with a sense of humor.

If the schmaltz of Hollywood has jaded you, try this, Bandwagon and The Size Of Watermelons over a weekend. It's a refreshing change.
