"dee snyder's not gonna take it, and he's gonna torture you!"
nipples and noserings... right up my alley.i didn't expect to like this movie. i mean, i only went because i think dee snyder is so funny that he fails to be a person any more and is now just a humorous concept. but natalie invited me to go, and we went. there was only three other people in the movie theatre; a couple who you could tell were big twisted sister fans back in the day, and a stuffy business man who you could tell was the biggest S&M freak when he got home from the office and was wearing nipple clamps under his suit. i arrived late, and the first idea i got was that two girls had been kidnapped after meeting a guy online and going to his house (of course, fueling suspicion of all parents who are wary of online chatting), and one was (naturally) the daughter of a detective. the detective spends all his time searching for the captor of his daughter and murderer of her friend, and finds Dee Snyder's Torture Den (!!! YEAH!!!!) and pistol whips that bitch and gets his kid back. it doesn't end there, though. good ol' dee (his name is carlton hendricks something, i think... his screenname is CAPTHOWDY on the aol knockoff they created for the movie) goes to an insane asylum and is given medicine to make him not be a psycho torturer anymore... it all works, and the medicine also turns him into a big nerd, which is funny. anyway, the people in the town persecute him and call him a monster even though he REALLY IS better now...and a bunch of people led by robert englund (who played a fantastic redneck) kidnap him and try to kill him. he lives, but they crushed his medicine, and now his freaky ass is back to torture and revenge, starting with all the people who persecuted him, and the original detective's daughter, again. the torture in this film is very vivid, realistic, and gross in a really cool way. the dialog was geeky, and trying to make dee snyder's wussy nerdy voice sound sinister was a big joke, but aside from that, it's a pretty darn cool movie, worth renting at least.if you like torture, you'll LOVE dee snyder's strangeland.
