"I am Henry the eight I am! Henry the eight I am I am!"
I swear there is a real review of this movie down below, but first I just have to tell this story about the first time I saw Ghost.I grew up in Florence, Italy, and there was only one english-language movie theatre. It got movies very late, and I was really stoked to see it. But for some reason my friend Harmony (not her real name because she hates me now) and I were late. Since the theatre is really small, we were lucky to get seats at all so I didn't mind sitting behind her. Anyways, the movie proceeds without incident, until the scene where the bad guy dies at the hands of an evil window. I was very enraptured, so I didn't immediately notice Harmony stand straight up. Not until the scene was over and his soul is dragged away did she suddenly jolt, look around, realize she was standing up, whisper "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" and sit down. Even from behind her I could tell she was beet-red.
So that's my story. I'm sorry. Anyways the point is that was a scary part, or something. I actually find the office scene with the computers typing themselves scarier. But then again, I'm not Harmony.
Anyways. Everyone on earth has seen this movie and if you havn't you're a big loser because it's just a part of our culture now and yo must be such an outcast... Patrick Swayze dies but doesn't go to heaven until he avenges his wrongful death at the hands of his best friend. Demi is his fiancee and they have sex. After a cool crazy guy on teh subway teaches him to use his ghostly powers, he saves the day. Well, Whoopi saves his ass a little, cause she can channel him.
Whoppi is really the only reason I saw this more than once. I didn't really find it all that romantic. But Whoppi is an absolute riot.Plus, she dresses all funny. And Patrick sings to her and keeps her up all night. 4 sporks just for Whoopi
