Moving.Eric Roberts is dying. So he throws himself a party, inviting friends and family for one last huzzah. His old companion Gregory Harrison shows up (after some time apart), and they try to make amends before Roberts dies. This doesn't sit well with Roberts' current lover or some members of his family.
It's My Party is actually a quite touching and moving film, with strong performances from the entire casts. I've never been a big fan of Eric Roberts, but I was impressed by his performance here. Harrison is also quite good, and the supporting cast (including Margaret Cho, Bruce Davidson and Olivia Newton-John) backs everything up substantially. It's certainly worth your time.
