"An early resignation of interest."
3 stars

Fraudulent and covert identities preoccupy this tale of convoluted objectives.

Military, ex-military gangs and ex-wives are all given ample space to co-mingle in. (Director Samuel Fuller makes excellent use of CinemaScope, if not discounting the etiolated color-imaging.) However monotony suggests stasis, a resignation of interest prematurely. By the time the bang-bang, rooftop chase comes about, this potboiler ceased to heat beyond tepid.

With Robert Ryan, Robert Stack and Shirley Yamaguchi.

[See it if you must.]
