This is a badly made movie. Horrible writing, more concentration on special effects than direction, acting is puzzling. But hot damn did it make me laugh.Bruce is trying to do comedy again. But this time no one lets him have much screen time, so I wasn't mad.
Streep and Hawn were...odd. I guess the whole thing being a farce explains why they battle to be more over the top than is acceptable.
The premise is: Hawn and Streep are rivals. They discover immortality. It doesn't work out, and their bodies become mangled, yet they stay alive. Bruce Willis, the plastic surgeon and tool in ther feud, has to help them fix their bodies.
It tries to get deep on you towards the end, and then you're like "shut up, this is a dumb comedy and I know it, don't get all deep on me." It tries to preach about the value of life or something. I don't know, I don't care. All I know is this had some damned funny moments. Silly, stupid moments. And the effects ain't too shabby. I jsut wish that maybe not ALL of the comedy depended upon it. But it was impressive nonetheless.Sometimes you're in the mood for stupid and silly. And Bruce Willis. Choose this over Hudson Hawk. 3 sporks.
