"No, Robert, don't do it!"
4 stars

Kurtwood Smith is the second most evil actor working today. The first, of course is Christopher Walken.

Mr. Smith plays Robert Sean Leonard's evil, dar, evil evil father. He is the sole reason I have only seen this movie once all the way through. I've seen it maybe 5 times up until the point when, uhm, he is really evil and I hate him, because call me my mother's daughter and hand me three hankies, but I just can't take it. *sniffle*

Anyways, there is plenty o' movie before that happens. Ethan Hawke is the new kid at some preppy school in new england (as if tehre were preppy private boarding schools anywhere else.) Robert Sean Leonard and his clique of friends are his buds. They have a new teacher, Robin Williams, whose controversial teaching methods both inspire the kids and get him fired. So of course once he's gone they honor him even more.

A superbly chosen cast makes this movie one of the best chick flicks ever made. Pure genius. There is a character to appeal to everyone, and another one we can all identify with. And, they are all cute and adorable and vulnerable and dateless! Yeah! it's a fantasy on screen for girls.

The movie is very moving and very well timed. The plot could prehaps be a tad more believeable, but hey, it's fantasy. I *want* to see hot guys lounge around a cave.

Excellent choice for young ladies. men might learn a thing or two. 4 sporks.
